Summary

David Allen directs this documentary based on the book by Isabella Tree which chronicles the transformative rewilding efforts at the Knepp estate in West Sussex. After inheriting the estate, Charlie Burrell and his wife Isabella were unable to continue successfully farming the depleted soil and so, in 2000, they decided to let nature reclaim the land instead. They faced fierce opposition initially but now, native breeds including Tamworth pigs and Exmoor ponies roam freely at Knepp and species on the verge of extinction elsewhere are thriving.
