Dave Evison's unexpected journey began with preparatory and public schools, before he joined the army as a Chieftain tank driver/radio operator, which culminated in an eighteen-month posting to Northern Ireland at the height of The Troubles. After coming out of the army, Dave had numerous jobs, eventually landing a dream job working in sales and promotions for his beloved football club Stoke City FC. Dave had five decades of national and local radio gigs. He has DJ'd across Europe and the UK on the Northern Soul scene, performing in thousands of different venues, including Wigan Casino, Blackpool Tower, and the Winter Gardens, Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom, London's 100 Club to name a few.The book contains a gigography of every event he has DJ'd at since 1974 to the present day.
