A teenage undercover agent goes after a cocaine dealer by befriending his son When CHERUB kids go undercover, no one suspects that they are trained professionals, working to infiltrate criminal organisations that have eluded MI5 and the police for years.
James Adams (12/13) is on his biggest mission yet, working to nail Europe's most powerful cocaine dealer. He'll need all his specialist training if he's going to bring down the man at the top.
CHERUB is not James Bond. There are no improbable stunts or super-villains. The reason for CHERUB's existence is simple: adults never suspect that children are spying on them.
For official purposes, these children do no exist.
NOTE : Due to the nature of the assignment, James and some of his fellow agents become involved in delivering cocaine to local users. At one point a fellow CHERUB agent uses cocaine, and has to go to hospital. James comes close to succumbing to sniffing cocaine as part of his 13th birthday celebrations but is stopped.
James also goes shoplifting to get in with the right crowd, and there is a description of the method he tries to use. The author has included a note stating:
"The author of this book would like to point out that the shoplifting technique described here only works with certain outdated security systems. I've got no intention of telling you which ones they are as I don't want angry Dads turning up on my doorstep and kicking my head in because their little darling just got busted trying to nick something from a shop"
