When several bodies are washed up in the swamplands of east Texas, the local police suspect drug-runners, and the Feds are called in to investigate - but can discover little. Possum Choa lives off the fat of the land, but his way of life is now threatened by the criminals infesting the area. With the help of his old friend Lena McCarver, possessed of mysterious powers of her own, and Police Chief Washington Shipp, Choa and the residents of the swamplands join forces to stop the evildoers once and for all.
