Enraged by the actions of ruthless hired gun Holt Danvers in killing rancher Frank Carver and leaving his young daughter Mary on the verge of death, flamboyant Mexican bandit Zococa and his mute Apache sidekick Tahoka vow vengeance. After leaving the severely injured Mary in the care of the monks at the San Maria mission, Zococa and his silent friend ride in pursuit of Danvers. The trail leads to the lawless town of Diablo.
