In the fishing community of Fjallbacka, foul play was always suspected in the disappearance 20 years ago of two young holidaymakers. When their remains are discovered, & two young children are killed, local detective Patrik Hedstrom's attention focuses on the Hults, a feuding clan of misfits, relgious fanatics & criminals.
