Twin dragons, Vedra and Krimon, have hatched from a single egg that lay in the sacred Nidrem Caves. The new Beasts must make the journey to the neighbouring kingdom of Rion where they can grow up in safety. But the evil wizard Malvel is never far away and the young twins need protecting.
