Abstract: West London, 1920. The Great War is over and former land girl Clara Tripp is back home with her family. Although she's working and engaged to local boy Arnold, Clara longs for country life. She's thrilled when old flame Charlie Fenner offers her temporary work at his family orchard in Kent. She goes, taking her little brother, Cuddy.
