Kipling, Rudyard2013
Large Print
"Kim" is a delightful tale set in late 19th century India. India is occupied and governed as part of the British Empire. Kim, an orphan of an Irish soldier, catches the eye of Mahbub Ali, an Afghan horse trader who serves as a spy to the British empire. As Kim comes of age, being trained as a spy by the Empire's best, he takes us on a wide-eyed traipse through a changing India. Along the way we meet a Tibetan lama on a religious pilgrimage, a hardened British spy-master, and a fat Babu who fearfully collects information for the Empire.
