Book
Heptonstall village in West Yorkshire is the final resting place of two American poets - Sylvia Plath and Asa Benveniste. Since her death, many people have come to visit Plath's grave, some making special trips, from across the world.Benveniste, buried in the same graveyard, is less well known, except by those with a keen interest in Anglo-American poetry of the mid-20th century and the commotions caused by some of it's more colourful factions.Poets' graves are a curious subject and it's worth reflecting on the people (very often other poets) who visit them. The title is taken from Sylvia Plath's poem 'Wuthering Heights'.
